Diocese of Leeds Music seeks accordion teacher

Diocese of Leeds Music

An appeal from Director of Music Ben Saunders

Accordion Teacher job in Yorkshire (Diocese of Leeds Music)
Our current accordion teacher is moving on at the end of this term and therefore we need to recruit a new accordion teacher to begin work in September 2024.
We have a number of options and have flexibility in how we recruit:
1) If a candidate is only interested only in accordion teaching we can offer a part time job on an hourly rate.
2) If a candidate can do accordion teaching and another instrument (i.e. piano or organ) we can offer increased hours.
3) If a candidate can do accordion teaching and is willing to do some whole class melodica teaching we can offer increased hours, including up to full time employment.
They need to be able to teach classical button accordion (c-system) and piano accordion, have a strong interest in education, and experience of working with children. We will also consider EU or international applications for a full time role.
If you know of anyone that may be interested please could you draw their attention to this exciting opportunity. They need to state their interest by emailing recruitment@dioceseofleedsmusic.org.uk and will be sent an application pack. I would suggest that they then have an informal conversation with my colleague who is the line manager for the post. The closing date for applications is Monday 13 May 2024, 12 noon.
I’d be most grateful if you would help spread the word for this very important specialised role to take the accordion to the next generation of children.
With many thanks,
Ben
