Ben’s baton and bellows
As well as being an accomplished accordionist Ben de Souza is a choral conductor too. On two of the following concert dates he will be using both the baton and bellows demonstrating what a fine young musician he is.
Saturday 11th June, 7:30pm
Ben conducts Farnham & Bourne Choral Society in a concert of Haydn and Mozart. As well as conducting, Ben will play Mozart’s Adagio and Rondo for glassharmonica quintet K.617. This piece features a solo glassharmonica part, played in the case on the accordion, with oboe, flute, viola and cello.

Ben conducts Newbury Chamber Choir in a summer concert of chamber choir pieces, on the theme of birds and flowers. As well as conducting, Ben is being featured as guest accordion soloist and will play a selection of solo pieces including works by Karen Street, Mika Väyrynen, Alain Abbott, Petri Makkonen and Claude Balbastre, among others.
