Carismático is a Tango ensemble created by accordionist Karen Street featuring the brilliant, emotionally charged compositions of Argentinian composers Saúl Cosentino and his mentor Astor Piazzolla (the tango composer, bandoneon player, and arranger) with Karen’s own creative and nuanced compositions.

Tango is a dance and music style born in the slums of Buenos Aires in the 1880’s. Carismático present Tango Nuevo, a style created by Piazzolla who elevated the music from the dance hall to the concert platform.

Carismático will be joined by guitarist and singer Guillermo Rozenthuler and Tango dancers Richard Manuel and Tamsyn Webb for an evening of irresistible Argentinian passion and musical virtuosity
