 Accordion at Sevenoaks Three Arts Festival

The accordion has become a regular feature at Sevenoaks Three Arts Festival.  It’s always good to see the accordion included in more general music and arts festivals rather than solely accordion-only competitions.  It means the outside world are interested in the instrument and want it to be part of other festivals.  The Accordion day at this Festival is always a bit like a party, everyone knowing everyone else and staying to listen to players in classes they themselves are not playing in – which doesn’t always seem to happen in other sections.  The spirit shown by accordionist participants makes the accordion a valued part of this festival.

Sevenoaks Three Arts Festival.  Classes include Beginners aged 8 to Adult, Grades 1 to 8, Own choice, Scottish/Irish Traditional, Jazz, Musette,Polka/TangoRecital, Duet/Group/Orchestra,Own Composition,Entertainment:solo/groupand Non-Competitive classes,.Classes will be held on Sunday 14th June 2015 at Walthamstow Hall Senior School, Sevenoaks.
