New Music for Accordion
A reinterpretation of a selected, rarely listened instrumental music by Gian Carlo Menotti 1911-2007 (in celebration of his 110th anniversary) and new music produced by exponents of three generations of composers; Maximiliano Amici, Vito Palumbo and Paolo Rotili, how to summarize some of the most significant artistic trends of Italian composition today. At the centre, the classical accordion’s originality, as a solo instrument and in a duo and a trio. Beautifully played by Patrizia Angeloni, professor of accordion at the Ottorino Respighi Conservatoire in Latina, Italy, and two of her protegés Stefano Di Loreto and Umberto Turchi.
