Le impronte dei grandi della fisarmonica by Sandro Strologo (in Italian, English and German)
A beautiful glossy book of 150 pages celebrating the Museo Internazionale delle Impronte of Recoaro Terme in the Italian Alps. The book looks at the history of the little museum and has profiles and photographs of all the accordionists who were honoured by having their hand print taken for exhibition in the museum alongside their photograph and a piece of their music. Each of the 70-odd accordionists has a page dedicated to them and there are accordionists from all over the world featured from The UK, France, Italy, Germany, Russia the USA, South Africa, Brazil, Argentina and more.
The book covers the period between 1997 and 2014 and is an interesting piece of accordion history and a must for anyone who has an interest in many of the famous accordionists of the 20th and early 21st century. The text is presented in Italian, English and German. The English translation is not always perfect it has to be said but it is none the less an important documentation of accordion history.
