CANCELLED – Accordion Chamber Music Concert premiéres important new work

Angela Burgess Recital Hall at 19.30 Friday 25th February 2022

A concert of solo and chamber music with classical accordion, including the 200 PIECES premiere of Des Oliver’s Iconoclast, performed by Flávio Albino Rodrigues. It is always a great joy to witness the progress of young accordionists through their years of study at the RAM. In the past we have been privileged to see the high profile accordion stars of the future train here with accordion professor Owen Murray, such as the classical chart-topping Martynas Levickis and the highlight of the 2021 Last Night of the Proms, Ksenija Sidorova, not to mention the other many equally excellent accordionists who now make their living from the accordion. So why not witness and support the current crop of students at the RAM reaching the kind of standard which bodes well for the tradition of producing quality accordionists with a future.
