London-based accordionist Mark Lasis brings his acclaimed quintet to the Brookmill as part of Brockley Max Festival! Consisting of some of London’s best up-and-coming jazz musicians, the Mark Lasis Quintet have performed extensively at iconic London venues such as Camden Club, Hootananny Brixton and Jazztrain Shoredtich (among many others) and garnered recognition as one of London’s most promising emerging jazz ensembles thanks their unique instrumentation, distinctive original compositions and mature approach to improvisation. This event will feature a set from the quintet and then the floor will open for a jam.
All musicians, vocalists, rappers, spoken word artists etc. welcome!
Entry is £4 with free entry for those participating in the jam.
The Mark Lasis Quintet will be back at Jam in a Jar at 8pm on June 10th doing 2x 45 minute sets. Free entry.
