2025 ACCORDION VISIT TO CASTELFIDARDO – 14-18 OCTOBER with Peter Le Geyt

The perfect opportunity to visit Accordion Mecca!

Over the past 12 years Peter Le Geyt has taken over 350 people to Castelfidardo Italy the ‘Home of the
Accordion’ and although ‘never say never’ this smaller group in October will be the last of
this type of visit he will organise. Please call for further information or questions.
The proposed itinerary is shown below:
Day 1 – Tuesday 14 October
0740 – Travel from Heathrow to Bologna with British Airways or join the group in Italy if
travelling earlier for a pre-stay in Bologna which we are able to assist with.
Coach transfer to Castelfidardo which is around 1hr 45mins – 2hrs with a short stop for
lunch. You will have a designated coach and driver throughout. On arrival in Castelfidardo visit the
monument to the papal Battle of Castelfidardo for photographs and / or nearby Musictech if
anyone is interested in a brief visit to see their operation. You then pick up the loaned
accordions from local music shop Castelfidardo Musica and continue 15 mins to Numana
Check in to hotel in Numana
Dinner: Own arrangements at suggested local restaurants. Accordions to play afterwards at
hotel
Day 2 – Wednesday 15 October
Breakfast (provided daily)
Morning: Visit to Castelfidardo and see the Grand Piano Accordion and Button Accordion.
plus museum and Victoria showroom. Other showrooms nearby are Polverini, ABB
Accordions, FBB Accordions and Castelfidardo Music Shop. Brandoni, Alessandrini &
Giustozzi are nearby. Also visit Italcinti and see how they make straps and back pads.
Lunch: At leisure in the town
After lunch visit to factories – Choice of Beltuna, Scandalli, Siwa & Figli or Dino Baffetti
Return to hotel
Dinner: Own arrangements or suggested options where we can play accordion after dinner
Day 3 – Thursday 16th October
Breakfast
During the day there are optional visits to factories covering Reed production at Antonelli or
Binci, Galassi Bellows, RCR Reed blocks and possibly smaller accordion factories. A visit to
the historic Osimo underground caves is also available.
Lunch: Own arrangements. Optional excursion to nearby town for lunch
Dinner: Own arrangements or suggested options where we can play accordion after dinner
Day 4 – Friday 17th October
Breakfast
Depart after breakfast for a tour of the Bugari factory. Following the tour, travel to the
Pilgrimage town of Loreto with a visit to the impressive Basilica for those interested and
time to have lunch. Afterwards there are optional visits to Carini Accordion Accessory Shop
and nearby Fismen Accordions. Pigini may also be possible if enough people want to visit.
Alternatively after lunch our coach driver will drop off anyone wishing to return to the hotel.
Day 5 – Saturday 18th October
Breakfast
Check out and depart for the independent state of San Marino. We will spend around 4
hours here for lunch and shopping before continuing to Bologna airport.
Note: People are free to do whatever they wish throughout the trip and do not have to
attend organised visits. We have a taxi contact for any particular individual visits.
Price for the complete 5 day package is from £758. Deposit £150 with balance due 1st
September. Flights with BA are currently around £100.

described our visits as the accordion trip of a lifetime!
