A fabulous little, compact instrument from Italy’s famous Pigini Factory in Castelfidardo which is ideal for young students as it has both standard and converter free bass both in the C griff system at an affordable price. The instrument is lightweight.  It has 3 sets of 8′ treble reeds tuned fairly dry and 1 set of 16′ reeds.  The left hand has 102 standard basses and 42 free basses the latter playing on two sets of reeds an octave apart. It is in a fabulous condition. These teaching converter instruments are quite hard to find and present an excellent way to develop a student’s sense of polyphony using the free bass whilst still giving a quick reward from fast results in the standard bass.
