Romano's London 172 1200
ZZ Music are very excited to be distributing a insightful new book about a shining light in accordion history: Toralf Tollefsen, the handsome Norwegian accordionist was one of the first truly global accordionists and took the accordion right onto the concert platform of the Royal Albert Hall in the 1940s. Read all about the successes and disappointments of this very interesting accordionist in the first English translation of Jon Faukstad's edition with contributions by Mogens Ellegard, Ola Kai Ledang and Tom Valle and an in depth interview of the great man by Faukstad himself. The book has been faithfully translated into English by our very own Owen Murray of the Royal Academy of Music and spearheaded by the tireless Roland Williams. It's a fascinating read and lists all of Tollefsen's recordings and compositions. We only have very limited stocks so don't delay buy one today! A huge thank you to those who supported my concert with the wonderful Silvia Olari in April. Another unmissable date for your diaries is the Wednesday 3rd of June where I will be headlining with the fabulous Joanna Strand and Friends in an evening of accordion music and wonderful French-themed songs. It's part of a 3-night series featuring Jacqueline Tate on Tuesday 2nd June (with myself as part of the ensemble) and with Rodney Earl Clarke on Thursday 4th June. Finally, the 24th May marks 100 years since Italy's entry into the First World War and for this Paolo Arrigo from Seeds of Italy will be hosting a musical event featuring music from the period with myself on accordion. More news on our news page.
