Romano Viazzani is headlining with Joanna Strand in an evening of French-inspired music at London's top cabaret venue The Crazy Coqs (off Piccadilly Circus) on Wednesday JUNE 3rd. Please book your tickets soon as they are starting to sell quickly and the venue has limited seating. ZZ Music are very excited to be distributing a insightful new book about a shining light in accordion history: Toralf Tollefsen, the handsome Norwegian accordionist was one of the first truly global accordionists and took the accordion right onto the concert platform of the Royal Albert Hall in the 1940s. Read all about the successes and disappointments of this very interesting accordionist in the first English translation of Jon Faukstad's edition with contributions by Mogens Ellegard, Ola Kai Ledang and Tom Valle and an in depth interview of the great man by Faukstad himself. The book has been faithfully translated into English by our very own Owen Murray of the Royal Academy of Music and spearheaded by the tireless Roland Williams. It's a fascinating read and lists all of Tollefsen's recordings and compositions. We only have very limited stocks so don't delay buy one today! Owen Murray and his student Iosif Purits will be performing two concertos as well as other accordion music in Giggleswick, Yorkshire. Sadly, accordion concerto performances are still quite rare in the UK due to the costs of hiring orchestras and pulling sufficiently large numbers to make them economically viable so please support this wonderful and rare event. Joanna Strand has given the Cabaret-going public some great entertainment in the last few years at The Pheasantry, The Forge, The Jermyn Street Theatre in London and the Carlyle and Feinsteins in New York. London’s top Cabaret venue, the wonderful The Crazy Coqs in all its Art Deco glory now beckons and June 2nd, 3rd and 4th 2015 see three nights each with a different headlining artist sharing the platform with Joanna. Professor Owen Murray and student Iosif Purits play Piazzolla and Gordon Jacob Accordion Concertos - 5th June 2015

Professor Owen Murray and one of his students at the Royal Academy of Music, Iosif Purits, along with Guitarist Chris Waddington present an evening of classical music for Accordion, Guitar and String Orchestra in the stunning surroundings of Giggleswick School Chapel. Performances will include the Gordon Jacob Accordion Concerto, the Concerto for Bandoneon and Guitar (Hommage à Liége) by Astor Piazzolla and other works by Scarlatti, Mussorgsky and Vivaldi.
