	As the UK swelters in the heat of 30 degrees plus our thoughts turn to those of the imminent Summer Holidays. It may sound a bit sentimental to some but if you happen to be motoring across Europe this Summer there's nothing better than driving along those French tree-lined undulating roads to the sound of a bit of French musette music on in the background as you observe villagers on their way to the village boulangerie to get their daily baguette or to the the tabac to buy a packet of Gitanes and their copy of Le Monde. You may even drive further on into Italy, Germany, Austria or to Spain and experience similar national traits in both local shopping behaviour and in local accordion music. You may instead head for a destination in the British Isles or somewhere further afield like South America. Whichever it is, take a look at our selection of CDs and find the ideal music to accompany your holiday. Don't forget our latest book on Toralf Tollefsen for some holiday reading too. If you're not going anywhere then try and get to one of the many accordion events in the UK. Deco Ensemble concert, 9th July, 8pm at the Purcell Room,London with accordionist Bartosz Glowacki

Accordion-lovers should not miss the Deco Ensemble’s concert on the 9th of July at 8pm at the Purcell Room (Southbank Centre) in London with accordionist Bartosz Glowacki. Glowacki, who is studying at The Royal Academy of Music has just finished his undergraduate course and has been very busy working both with the Deco Ensemble and as a soloist.

A busy summer for accordionist Karen Tweed

Karen Tweed must be one of the busiest accordionists in the UK. She is ever-popular with her music drawing inspiration from World Music particularly from Scandinavia and Ireland. Her CDs always feature collaborations with fabulous musicians. You will find many of them in our CD section on this site. She’s also always busy teaching at workshops all over the UK.
