It's February and the thoughts of many turn to thoughts of love. Is there a more romantic instrument than the accordion? Ok, the bigger ones are a bit ungainly, the saxophone is maybe more overtly phallic in a New York Jazz club, the violin may bring a tear to the eye in old Vienna (especially if the player is a beginner!) the piano shimmers beautifully behind couples sipping cocktails overlooking the Thames but nothing quite evokes the the romance of travel like the accordion, from the glittering lights of Paris to the bordellos of Buenos Aires, from Venetian gondolas at sunset to the an Irish lament beside the Liffey. Ok, ok, cheesy, cheesy, cheesy but I had you going there for a bit. Have a look at our selection of music and CDs and see where the music takes you this St Valentine's Day.
