UKAAT (United Kingdom Association of Accordion Teachers) are proud to announce their first workshop for accordion teachers. After an initial meeting over 2 years ago of 40 teachers from all over the UK those present were surveyed and asked what they would most like to explore as part of their own professional development as accordion teachers. This first workshop will try to cover a number of the most voted-for subjects in an all-day event at The Royal Academy of Music, London.

A Christmas Cabaret. ZZ Music are happy and excited to announce that LAO (London Accordion Orchestra) are to play a special concert at the Royal National Theatre on the Southbank in London. On 11th December, at 8pm, LAO will play their highest profile concert to date at the world famous theatre on the Thames.

One of the UK’s rising young accordion talents, Ben de Sousa will be performing works by Bentzon, Trojan, Bach and Scarlatti at a recital on Sunday 6th December at Old Bluecoat School, 1 Chapel Street, Thatcham (nr Newbury) RG18 4JT.

Toral Tollefsen, World Artist is a new publication we now have in stock featuring one of the first truly global accordionists of the concert platform. The book tracks the life of this pioneer of the concert accordion through interviews and articles contributed by the editor Jon Faukstad, Mogens Ellegaard, Ola Kai Ledang and others.

Corrado Rojac and Illaria Nardi have written a book on the music of Giuseppe Greggiati, a clergyman and musician who wrote not only original pieces for the accordion from 1839 onwards but also a “method” outlining how the instrument should be played.
